I’m beginning the process of designing our basement laundry room, and so far I’ve been all over the map when it comes to making a decision. Our laundry room is very small and houses one of the chores I like the least of all, so in my opinion it needs to be one of the prettiest rooms so washing the clothes won’t feel like such a drag.
Currently, the room is concrete floor, studs, and plumbing with a washer and dryer. It’s pretty dismal.
My inspiration for the new layout is similar to this photo below (pulled from Lucky Walls on Etsy) - I essentially plan to do light blue painted cabinets, a sink, and butcher block counter to put it all together. Since I’m keeping the flooring simple with a large charcoal tile, I want to add some pop with wallpaper on the backsplash.
There are so many options, I can hardly decide! I love them all, but eventually one will win out. Today, I wanted to share my favorite wallpaper options I found while hashing out this design. Are you brave enough to do wallpaper in your home? I’ve never done it personally, but I’m looking forward to using this as my first try!

I agree! Especially now that they make it removable!
Yes, I have been looking at wallpapers lately too. We are moving in September, and I think wallpaper is a great way to add some pizzazz. 😁
